Okay, for our posts, I am just adding it as a comment to here. Dr. Buchanan suggests we all do the same.
So anyways, here is my first blog post :) I am a computer science major, so technology is something I am pretty familiar with. I discovered the blog Hack a Day which talks about user created hardware and software that simply does something cool. Here's the link -> http://hackaday.com/
I'm a freshman Psychology major. I would like to follow the Philip DeFranco Show (on youtube) for my tech source. It's not technically a blog, or even a vlog, but he almost always includes something technology-related. Disclaimer: viewer discretion is advised when viewing his videos. Philip DeFranco also covers social issues, political stories, and all sorts of media stuff. This includes anything to get more views, even some things on the... raunchy side. I choose this channel because it's already where i get all my latest techy news from, and it's entertaining. http://www.youtube.com/user/sxephil
Now, if this source is not approved, I have found another possible source on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/SoldierKnowsBest It's a lot less fun, but a lot more "family friendly".
Hi! I'm a freshman nursing major, but I have already applied to nursing school for next fall. *fingers crossed* I would like to follow Crave, the gadget blog by CNET. I've found so many amazing technologies already. I should have been doing this for years!
Hey everyone! I'm a senior psychology major. The blog I'm following is Pogue's posts, http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/. I'm not exactly the most "technology oriented person", so we'll see how this goes. Look forward to getting to know you all!
Hey! I'm a sophomore in Renewable Natural Resources. I've been following gizmodo.com but I'm not sure if I'll stick with it. I'm trying to find a simpler one.
Hi, I'm Dieu, and I'm a sophomore biology major. I've been following a blog site for quite some time called geeksugar (http://geeksugar.com). It's a very simple, girly blog site. It doesn't get as many updates as some other blog sites though, so I may choose another.
Steven here, studying Digital Art. I'd like to follow the site core77.com. It's an industrial design website that updates like a blog. R34LLY k3wL 57uFf!!
Hey y'all! Claire here. I'm an Accounting major and have always loved all things technology. I'll be checking out techcrunch.com...I usually follow Youtube channels more than blogs, but I'm trying to expand and start following a few blogs this semester. So far, so good!
Hey! I'm Jared, an electrical engineering major. I've been following engadget for a long time, so I guess it would be awesome if I could just keep following it.
Here are a few more blogs that haven't been mentioned:
The Verge - http://theverge.com (Excellent combination of news and editorial content. By far one of my favorites.) Lifehacker - http://lifehacker.com (There's more than just technology-related content on here, but it follows a lot of the DIY/Maker subculture, so there's always something interesting to see.)
Hi everyone! I'm Anna, a freshman International Studies major. I'm going to be following Übergizmo (ubergizmo.com). I think this class is going to be really interesting. I can't wait to get started!
Hey guys! I'm Elaina, more easily identified by my temporary need for crutches, and I'm a freshman Political Science Major. I'm not the most technologically advanced person, so I'm relying on my twitter addiction to help me follow TechEBlog and VentureBeat:)
Hey guys, James here. Sucks we can't use our lsu email. I'm a sophomore biology major though I love technology. I follow various tech blogs through my phone app, Appy Geek. It's free on the Android market, not sure about the iPhone. I highly recommend it.
